It's fun to do a quick project, and even more fun when you know it's going to someone who will be completely surprised by it. I enjoyed making this lap quilt for a friend whose daughter is going to UNC-W on a softball scholarship. I love this school's colors and think they make a striking combination. It was easy to cut out using the June Taylor Strip Cutter, so that part was done in 15 minutes. (We have them in stock at the shop).I usually keep the 440 on the quilt frame, but I decided that for the sake of time, I would put the 820 up and see how much time I could cut out by using it. I quilted this lap quilt in two hours, thirty-five minutes, which included a chocolate cake break and a phone call to my husband to pick up my youngest child and a pizza on his way home so I could get it done. Didn't it turn out well?
